1st week of classes!!!

 

Hi babies!! I haven't been here in so longgggg. Apologies for keeping you waiting for song long :(. I've been in college for 2 weeks now and just finished my first week of classes. It's been super cool and I feel so grown up now haha. 

My fashion classes are super cool. I get to use industrial sewing machines here. Jaw was drop when I walked in and saw them. In my design studio, we're making 4 different garments this semester. I've made all of these before thanks to the best fashion teacher back in high school, but I'm excited to learn new techniques. These garments are going to be a collection and I've decided my overarching concept for it is going to be inspired by aquamarine! What's super exciting about that is I'm going to take inspiration from the movie, the gemstone, and the song by addison rae. I'm not too sure how i'm going to do that, but I'll try my best to get my points across. In another class, I'll be doing more sketching which I'm super excited about because I want to work on that since I can't draw all that much lol. That one also is supposed to be a small collection and I haven't thought about that yet. 

As you can see, I've been very focused on school. I haven't met any dating prospects but the night is young! 

Also before I go, today I went to an awesome vintage fest where a bunch of thrift stores were selling things and I got a nice haul. I bought 2 necklaces and 1 is a crystal. I also bought a dress that reminded me of aquamarine so much!! It's absolutely beautiful. I'm so excited to wear it. 

Also, have you heard about the victoria secret show! I'm so excited! I might make the sketch collection inspired by that! I can't wait to see what artists are performing and what new things they're going to bring this year!

college!!

 

hi babies!! oof these past couple of days has been so hectic. i've recently moved in to college which has been very exciting but super crazy. Today was the start of welcome week and it was so cool. I've met people in my major which was awesome. I walked a lot but it was okay. My feet didn't hurt, but I was super duper hot. My fan did not do what I thought it did. One of my favorite movies was filmed on campus and I visited it today which was so cool. Literal movie history. On the social side of things, now that we're on campus Mr. Big has been Mia recently?? Don't like that ugh. But maybe it's cause I haven't posted recently, he usually texts when i post something. But! I have gotten 2 guys instagram in the same day!! That beats my record of 0. lol. But idk, men are annoying and i'm sick of it as my queen jen would say. Tonight there's a cool party i'm going to and i'm super excited for that. I hope it's fun and I don't get sick of it too soon. I'll talk more later!!

life update !!

hi babies! omg I haven't been here in so long! I feel like i'm doing everything but nothing at the same time. life after my birthday has been pretty slow. I've just been passing time until it's time to move in. It's now T-minus 5 days until I leave for college and I haven't done a thing :\. I got my ID yayyy big grown up things haha. Even though I haven't packed for college, I am updating my socials for college life. Starting with new macbook pictures! 

gosh i look so yummy!! Hoping to post this on my story for you know who to say something haha. I'll call him Mr. Big on here because I have no clue how to read what's going on here. 

But anyways, I've started watching the newest season of my life with the walter boys and ugh i'm obsessed. When it comes to movies and tv, I'm a pretty easy person to please. And gosh do I love the country version on tsitp. I'm only on episode 5 so now spoilers lol. ooo I also watched the new movie, the last house on netflix and it's sooo good. Totally recommend. Everyone in my life knows how much I love ocean animals so I thoroughly enjoyed it. 

I will definitely be updating you guys on everything to do with college and Mr. Big. I promise I won't leave you hanging next time!!

birthday aftermath!!

Hi babies!! Yesterday was my 18th birthday and it was sooo much!! First off I made a crochet set inspired by the knit set Sabrina Carpenter wore in the Manchild music video. 

It took me maybe 2 or 3 weeks to make it. It took so long and I had to keep starting over but it was definitely worth it in the end. I loved how it turned out and a special person also really liked it haha. I can't talk much about that because I fear I might be going a bit delulu.

My friends came over to my house and that was also pretty fun. One friend I haven't seen since graduation but, the other I haven't seen since my birthday last year!! So it was very special to see the two of them before we all go our different ways for school :(. We talked a lot, listened to Sabrina Carpenter, and just had a lot of fun overall. We had great food made by my family which was the icing on the cake. Speaking of cake, I had a lemon flavored cake which was so good because lemon is literally my favorite flavor.

I'm so grateful for my family for setting up everything for my birthday and for my friends for taking the time to celebrate my special day. I'm so excited to see what 18 brings me in my new chapter of life. I'm nervous but I'm excited. I'm watching Tate Mcrae perfrom at lollapalooza so I'll stop here so I can finish watching!

my birthday is tomorrow!!

Ahhh I cannot believe it's finally here. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday!! It's so crazy to me, I still feel like im 14 haha. A while ago I heard that the quarantine during covid changed our brain chemistry and i feel like that's so true. I mean I still feel like the little girl who just started middle school online. But anyways, I'm super excited. 

I hope that 18 brings much much peace and happiness. I'll be starting college in a few weeks and i'm kind of intimidated by the fact that i'll be coming into college being 18 having done absolutely nothing. eeeee. I've never had a boyfriend or a first kiss, and I don't even like talking about that other stuff. I know there's no need to compare myself to others but I just wished that I wouldn't be going to such a party school with no experience. But who knows! Maybe it's not just me and i need to get out of my head haha. 

Tonight I'll be watching one of my favorite birthday movies, 16 candles! I love that movie!! I crocheted a set that looks just like the knit set Sabrina Carpenter had in her "Manchild" music video. It took sooo long but was definitely worth it. I'll share a pic of it later! I'll be having dinner at home and invited some of my friends as well. It's going to be like a reunion because the 3 of us haven't hung out together since my birthday last year so I'm super excited.

Hi babies! I was watching radio rebel today as one does of course, and it got me reminiscing about my favorite songs from that era. Now i'm not one of those people that hate on pop music today because i love the new pop girlies like addison rae and adela, but there was something special to me in that era. Maybe it's the memories i associate with that era, maybe it's the inner child in me feeling giddy, or maybe it's just pure nostalgia bait. But regardless of the reason, i just love music from the 2010s era. So I thought, why not share my top 4 songs from the 2010s. :)

1. Here's to never growing up - Avril Lavigne

Omginess i love this song!! Every time I listen to it I remember walking to school with my brother and sister. It just got that vibe you know. I'm also just obsessed with Avril Lavigne. When i was in my "alt" era in 2020 she was my #1 inspo lol. This song is just a pure bop. What else do you need?!

2. Royals - Lorde

I can distinctly remember watching the music video to this song on the tv as a kid. I was also so scared of the video for some reason and I don't even know why. Anyways, clearly I've been a Lorde stan since a kid okay. Lorde is in my blood haha. Ooo I also remember dancing to this song on just dance. Royals is the first song that comes to mind when I think of 2014.

3. Miss Movin On - Fifth Harmony

This song right here??!!!! This is my songgggg. As a kid I loved all the groups and bands. Little mix, the vamps, 5 seconds of summer, one direction. But Fifth Harmony was always my favorite. This song I also remember watching the music video. Forever my top karaoke song. This song reminds me the most of my childhood. Just pure happiness, not a care in the world.

4. Tumblr Girls - G-Eazy

Okay im going to be so real right now. G-Eazy used to be sooo fine to me when i was younger. He might be the reason why i like white boys now. But anyways back to the song lol. This song just embodies to feeling a tumblr to me. I swear every time I open it I hear this song. It's also my theme song so when I walk into a room this song does play. True story haha ;). It's also the song in my banner on instagram so it is official! But I just love this song so much. I love the vibe, the instruments, the production. Ugh it's just great.

Bonus song! 5. Mrs. Right - Mindless Behavior

I know i said top 4 songs but i couldn't leave this song out. This song was the anthem of my childhood. As the 2nd youngest kid in my family with 2 older brothers and an older sister, they usually held control of the tv. My brothers would play this song all the time. I remember watching them perform the song every time it would play. Not sure if it's like stockholm syndrome or something but i've loved this song then and now. I just love the memories associated with this song.

So yeah those are my top songs from the 2010s era. There's so many songs from the 2010s that I love. The rest are in my spotify playlist on my bar sidebar! You should check them out!! First post kinda nervous. jkjk. I've been seeing so many blogs up and down my tik tok feed, i thought why not make one myself! Here's an introduction of me!

I'm starting college in about a month and super excited about that. I'll be studying apparel design! I hope to become an in-house lawyer in the fashion industry but my dream is to have my own fashion and beauty brand. I love music, film, pop culture, and of course fashion. I love the 2010s aesthetic growing up due to my older siblings. I am an avid letterboxd user and tumblr girlblogger.
